This message may be delayed but it's just as sincere. Just read the notice that Meighan has passed, shocking and terrible news. Meighan and I worked together at WSIB and she was truly a special lady who brought sunshine and happiness to the office each day. She will be remembered fondly, she surely had one of the warmest smiles and kindest heart. Condolences to her family, such a enormous loss. Rest well my special friend...Terrie Galbraith-Thrasher <3

I’m having difficulty getting on the Zoom call but want to send my deepest condolences. Megan was a loving caring woman, sister and friend with a great sense of humour. She will be missed by many, especially her close-knit family. I’m happy she was able to spend the last months of her life in the country she loved so much, but I’m sure she waited until she was back home in Canada in the arms of her beloved family to finally make her transition into the arms of her Holy Father.

Proverbs 18:24 says “a man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”. Megan was that friend who stuck closer than a sister. I have six sisters and we are all very close, but Megan was not only my friend, she was my confidant, my buddy, my first child’s godmother. We shared each other secrets. We even followed the same career paths unbeknownst to each other. You see, we met before we even knew ourselves. I can’t think of a time when she was not a part of my life and that is why this is so hard for me. Years could pass without us speaking to each other because, as adults, we went in different directions; but whenever we saw each other it was as if no time had passed at all. It was just as if we had spoken to each other the day before. Time and space could not separate us. She will live on in my heart and I give God all the honor, thanks, and praise for allowing me to have known her and shared my life with her and have her share hers with me. Proverbs 17:17 says that a friend loves at all times and 27:17 tells us that iron sharpens iron and that a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. That‘s the kind of relationship Megan and I had and that’s how my love will ever be for my friend. I will fiercely miss her but I’m comforted that she is with the Lord and what a wonderful place to be. Sleep peacefully, my friend. One day you will rise in glory. We will meet again.
My name is Lucille Jones Holder and together with my husband, children, and grandchildren, we send our heartfelt condolences to the entire family of Megan’s. God bless you all.
