It is difficult to enumerate the fine qualities of our team-mate Dennis Clive Wolfe whom represented the Toronto West Indies and Commonwealth Cricket Clubs. Wolfe was a useful cricketer, whose passion for the game was immeasurable. So great was his love for the game that even when he was not playing in his selected division, he would volunteer to be the scorer for the club(s) he represented. Thus, he became one of the most knowledgeable cricket statisticians both locally and internationally.
As a trusted friend and confidant, it was a pleasure sharing the field of play and / or his commendation for a game well played. So special was our friendship that we often substituted our names with the company we were employed; for example: I would call him Mr. Consumers Gas and he in turn would call me Mr. TD Bank. This was triggered by our mutual respect for being a part of the IT industry.
During his illness, we witnessed the strength of his perseverance and level of resilience, through the efforts he made to keep in touch with those who shared his passion for the cricket fraternity and the sporting community as whole. His conversations usually include his health reports, track and field, and reviews of the political landscape.
So on behalf of his family, friends, team-mates and associates, we say farewell to:
The man whose friendship was adorable...has he moved on
To what is deemed a 'better place'.

As his healthy soul traverses into that eternal space
