THOMPSON Jr., Sylvanus W.A~ With deepest sorrow we announce that Sylvanus Winston Anthony Thompson Jr. passed away suddenly in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, on Wednesday September 14, 2022 . Junior, as he was popularly called, was born on June 3, 1983 at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He was the last child for his mother Lorelda Berry and the first son for his father Dr. Sylvanus Thompson Sr. Junior got his early education at Hemmingway and Teamwork Prep Schools in Montego Bay. After migrating to Canada he attended Gracedale Public School, Humber Summit School, Emery Collegiate, and Westview Centennial Secondary School. Junior later returned to Jamaica and attended Herbert Morrison Comprehensive High School and Cornwall College. Junior was a very accomplished self-taught visual artist, who could effortlessly draw or paint almost anything or anyone. In an effort to further develop his artistic skills he was accepted in the Intermediate Art and Design Program at New Nottingham College, while spending time with relatives in England. He loved cars and motor cycles passionately and enjoyed dismantling and reassembling them on his own. He therefore worked briefly at Chrysler Motors in Toronto prior to moving to Alberta where he worked in the construction industry with Alpine Drywall Ltd. Junior enjoyed life, family members and friends. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Junior will now rejoin his mother, who died when he was only 5 years old, his maternal grandmother and other close relatives. However, he will be fondly remembered by a number of family members and friends who will forever mourn his passing. These include his four children, Dion, Raheem, Jakiah and Maliyah, as well as their mothers Amy, Natasha and Amanda. Mourning his loss are also Junior's loving sisters Sharon, Denise, Kameile, Patrice, and Candice; Brothers Germaine and Xavier; Grandmother Eleata, Stepmother Thelma and father Sylvanus Sr. Junior Will Be Missed But Never Forgotten. A Homegoing Service celebrating Junior's life will be held on Saturday October 1st, 2022 at the Revivaltime Tabernacle 4340 Dufferin Street, Downsview, ON. Viewing will start at 10:00am until service time at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery 7241 Jane St, Concord, ON L4K 1A7.
