Obituary of Delalee Banton

Mrs. Delalee Banton, daughter of the late Lynford Willis and surviving mother, Enid Maud Willis; was born on September 14, 1950 in Manchester, Jamaica. She passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022 at Michael Garron Hospital. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Roy Banton and her 4 children, Kervin (Spongy) Johnson, Bridget James, Brenda Chung and Brian Banton. Delalee was the loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Jordan, John-Mark, Jodi,Tyrell, Tyree,Sierra and Ricardo. She was the first born of 11 children and leaves behind, her mother, Enid Willis, and 10 siblings, Junior Willis, Choral Willis, Danny Willis, David Smith, Kevin Smith, Merline Smith, Curline Smith, Sadie Newman, Magzie Hanson, and Euon Reid. She met her husband, Roy Banton, in Toronto and they united in marriage in August of 1972. They were happily married for 49 years. She loved all kinds of flowers and enjoyed spending time in her garden and decorating her home with various floral arrangements. Delalee loved her family dearly, and she loved God with all her heart. She was a worshipper who loved to sing and dance. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and her friends. We welcome donations of flowers in honor of her love for them. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday January 20th, 2023 at 11:00am at Revival Time Tabernacle with a viewing from 9-10am.
