Obituary of Francis Dibert Semple

FRANCIS “EDWARD” DIBERT SEMPLE

 August 14, 1925 – May 1, 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Francis “Edward” Dibert Semple, on May 1, 2019, at the age of 93.

Edward was born and raised in Sisters Village, East Bank Berbice, Guyana. During his youth, he demonstrated great interest in the study of the Bible which led him to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour as well as, the Seventh-day Adventist message at the age of 21.  Edward was baptized at the Plaisance Seventh-day Adventist church in 1946.

In 1953, he met and later courted fellow church choir member, the lovely Sheila Evaudni Leach, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist church, where the couple later married on December 22, 1954. Their union produced 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sheila, his children: Royston, Ralph, Allison, Brian, Holly, Ronda, Wycliffe, Mark, Wayne and Leon, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 1 sibling.

             Edward lived, loved, and served the Lord Jesus even unto his final breath. He will be greatly missed. As we celebrate his life, we ask that you join us on this journey as we say 

farewell, one last time.
