Obituary of Derrick Oma Stewart

In loving memory of Derrick Oma Stewart who passed away peacefully on Thursday April 25th at 10am following a lengthy illness in the Brampton Civic Hospital. He leaves behind his wife Doreen, children (Andrea, Joan, Ricardo and Denroy), 12 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Ratie and Donovan), 5 sisters (Dorreth, Eslyn, Beverly, Lorna and Herrolyn), friends and well wishers.

Derrick was born December 23, 1941 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.  Derrick grew up in the Seventh Day Adventist faith and has practiced it throughout his life. He lived in Jamaica for 49 years before migrating to Canada in 1990 with his wife Doreen and his daughters Andrea and Joan.

Funeral service will be on Sunday May 19th at the Toronto West SDA church 1621 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9V 1B6. Viewing from 10am -11am, service from 11am -1:15pm. Interment in the Beechwood Cemetery at 7241 Jane St., Concord, ON L4K 1A7.
