MAHABEE, Berthel Rosel. It is with extreme sadness and sorrow that after a brief illness, we announce the peaceful passing of Berthel Rosel Mahabee on December 26, 2019 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Berthel was born in Hanover, Jamaica. He immigrated to Canada in 1974 and settled in Scarborough.
He leaves behind his daughters Paulette Campbell, Viviene Brady, Hessan McDoom, and their mother Ambrozine Flanagan; sons-in-law; sisters and brothers in Canada, U.S.A. and England; 4 grandchildren - Denae Brady, Izaiah Campbell, Joshua Campbell and Laila McDoom; along with many other family members, church family, and friends who will sadly miss him.
Viewing will take place at Philadelphia SDA Church : 65 Grand Marshall Dr, Scarborough, ON M1B 5N6 on Monday January 6, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held at Apple Creek SDA Church : 700 Apple Creek Blvd, Markham, ON L3R 7X9 on Thursday January 9; viewing at 10:00 a.m and service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow the Service at Elgin Mills Cemetery: 1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9
