Just last year we went to the Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with the Richards family. Paul’s son David and my daughter are in the Pathfinder Club.
Paul, Colleen and David had such a great time, Paul even taught Honors during Camporee. He will be sadly missed by the Pathfinders and the members of the Ajax SDA Church.
At Ajax Family Camp and picnic last year We got to see the other side of Paul, his love for nature.
He was a Inspiring Sabbath School teacher and an excellent Bible Class facilitator. Paul was very knowledgeable in the scriptures and had a gift of expounding the word of God, eloquently, explicitly and coherent. He had quite a gift from the Lord.
The Richards family and our family many times hosted the Pathfinders at our respective homes last year when they were preparing for the Bible Challenge competition. Paul was very helpful and was part of the coaching team that helped our Pathfinders to create history, in that, Ajax SDA Pathfinders won the Durham Bible Challenge for the first time.
Paul was such a kind and giving person and was a principled man of God, who is already missed by our church members. We will continue to pray for strength and peace to his dear wife Colleen and his two sons, David and Joel.
Brother Paul May you sleep in Peace until the trumpet sounds and Lord wakes you up from your slumber to dwell eternally in His presence.
Steven, Pauline and Christina Vassell

To Colleen, Joel and David.
Paul was a great husband and father, who left behind a legacy. Now that he is gone may all the beautiful memories be a blessings to you all. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on friends and family for strength.
Bro. Paul or Englishman as I sometimes would call him, he was my PAASLT (patois as a second language teacher). He would always correct me if I did not pronounce the word correctly.
My mom and I loved Paul, he was kind hearted, good natured, humbled, a true Christian man and father with values. While the loss of a loved one is never easy even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. The time it takes to heal from a great loss is different for all of us.
God knows our hearts and always walks with us at the perfect pace of His comforting grace.
Bro. Paul sleep for now until the second coming of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ in the earth made new. We all hope to see you on that great getting up morning.
With our love forever Angie and Anta. Rest assured, we will all take care of Colleen, Joel and David.
